Healing Yourself Outreach Program Ministry (HYOP)

Purpose:

To provide professional development opportunities, leaderships skills, certifications, apprenticeships, career portfolios, interviewing skills, Lifeskills/motivational character education, and links to self-help community agencies, while consistently incorporating the importance of celebrating diversity.

To decrease food insecurity, and provide food security, to families in need in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Objective:

To enhance professional development skills; to provide financial management and fiscal responsibility techniques.
To instill a strong sense of duty to self, family, church, school, and community.
To promote self-esteem, rooted in the recognition of one's potential.
To exercise respect for the rights of all persons, regardless of their race, religion, sex, age, physical condition, or mental state.
To respect the right of others to hold and express differing views, combined with the capacity to make discriminating judgments among competing opinions.
To reliably and efficiently serve families in low income/middle income communities impacted by poverty, tragedy and hardship, by providing food security/Life Skills educational training courses.

Healing Yourself Outreach Program - HYOP

Our aim is to provide extraordinary "first-class" character education through our weekly Life Changing Motivational Sessions. Our weekly sessions include: 1) Providing a wealth of solid ideas and transformational thinking that addresses the emotions, spirit and mind of man, as well as 2) Providing relevant lifeskills training that will assist individuals in making a positive difference in their lives, and in their local community. For some, this training may be the one factor in their lives that can change a cycle of poverty, ignorance, under-employment, unemployment and crime; and for others, it will represent the opportunity to fulfill their life aspirations and dreams.

Healing Yourself Outreach Program's Purpose:

For some, it may be the one factor in their lives that can change a cycle of poverty, ignorance, underemployment, unemployment and crime. And for others, it will represent the opportunity to fulfill their dreams.

"Loosed to Find What God Wants" - Psalm 32:8: "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; and I will Guide you with my eye."

Purpose:

To gain strength and encouragement, through identifying, learning and understanding God's divine purpose, and plan for our lives.
To position the women of God to exchange "our plans" for "God's plans," so that we may live and prosper, and prolong our days. (Proverbs 19:21 - "Many are the plans in a man's (woman's) heart, but it is the Lords's purpose that prevails").
